the bus comes quickly
the two travel trickily
deserted destination
foreign

crescent beach

to the southwest the void swallows light
and the ocean under fog pretense
rocks weight
rocks wait
northern lights across the bay permeate
the shadows of our secrets
and we acquiesce
in ambience

the tide waves arcs of water reaching
they tickle the shore
and our hearts

5 minutes walking eastward
unlit suburb streets, parks
swings, set off service
the wait for the return

a voice intrudes, offends
